On Nadeem, Neeraj Chopra said- We were never close friends: Pakistani Javelin Thrower was trolled for calling; Doha Diamond League will participate tomorrow

India's star Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra said on Thursday that he and Arshad Nadeem were never close friends. On the eve of the Doha Diamond League, Neeraj said, after the terrorist attack on April 22, things between India and Pakistan will not be the same. Neeraj Chopra will launch a Diamond League campaign on May 16. His program will be held at 10:15 pm.

After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Neeraj Chopra and his family faced trolling on social media. Because, Neeraj invited Nadeem of Pakistan to the NC classic in Bengaluru, though the event has been postponed.

On the question of friendship with Arshad Nadeem, Neeraj Chopra said-

First of all I want to make it clear that I (with Nadeem) do not have a very strong relationship. We were never close friends. But because of this (tensions on the Indo-Pakistan border), the conversation between us will not be the same as before. But if someone talks to me with respect, I too talk to him respectively.

He also clarified- invited him before the terrorist attack Paris Games Silver Winner Star had earlier said that he was deeply saddened to question his and his family's honesty in abusive posts on social media after Nadeem was invited to participate in the tournament organized in his honor. Chopra then clarified that invitations to the NC classic were sent a day before the Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 26 people were killed.

As players, we have to talk to each other: Neeraj Neeraj Chopra said, “As players, we have to talk.” I have some good friends in the sports community around the world. Which is not only in the spear throw but also in other games. If someone talks to me with respect, I will talk to him with full respect. “The spear throw is a very small community and everyone is competing for their own country and everyone wants to give their best,” the Haryana star said.
