Punjab wins Punjab: Beating Gujarat by 11 runs in IPL; Captain Shreyas scored 97

On the basis of excellent batting and bowling in death overs, Punjab Kings beat Gujarat Titans by 11 runs. Punjab, who entered the IPL with the new captain Shreyas Iyer, scored 243 runs after losing 5 wickets. In reply, Gujarat also scored 232 runs, but this score was not enough to win.

Gujarat chose to bowl at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Shreyas scored 97 from Punjab, with Shashank Singh 44 and Priyanka Arya scored 47. Sai Kishore took 3 wickets from Gujarat. Sai Sudarshan scored 3, Jose Butler 3, Sherfan Rutherford 3 and Captain Shubhman Gill scored 3 runs.
