The 44th match of IPL-18 was canceled due to rain. Punjab scored 201 runs at Eden Gardens Stadium on Saturday. In reply, Kolkata descended to bat and could not bat for only 1 over when the rain started. Later the umpires canceled the match, so both teams were given 1-1 points.

Prior to the match, a tribute was paid to those who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir Pahalgam on April 22 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. 26 people lost their lives in the attack.

On the third ball of the 11th over, Prabhasimran Singh hit a six on a switch hit shot given to Sunil Narayan. Prabhasimar changed his stance on Narayan's overpeach ball and played a shot like a left -handed batter. Here the ball went for a six on the deep cover. A total of 3 sixes were hit in this over.
4. Harshit Prabhasimran's catch missed

- The 120 -run opening partnership between Prabhasiman Singh and Priyanka Arya has become the largest opening partnership against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Punjab Kings (PBKs). He broke the record of 116 runs made by Chris Gayle and KL Rahul on the same field in 2018.
- Sunil Narayan gave 22 runs in one over for the second time in the IPL. Earlier in 2013, he gave 23 runs in one over against Punjab Kings, which is his worst performance.
