In the semifinals, Vidarbha beat Mumbai and Kerala to Gujarat In the first semifinal played at VCA Stadium in Nagpur, Vidarbha defeated Mumbai by 80 runs and made it to the final. In the second semifinal, Kerala reached the final with a 2 -run lead in the first innings against Gujarat.
