Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) can announce its new captain for IPL-2015 in Bengaluru on Thursday. RCB needs a new captain after Faf du Plessis is not retired.
Virat Kohli is a strong contender for becoming a captain. Virat led the team from 2013 to 2021. In addition, he also captained three matches in IPL-20123.
The franchise has another option Better Rajat Patidar. Rajat has been with the team since 2021 and was one of his three retain players before the mega auction in November. The 31-year-old Rajat was the captain of Madhya Pradesh in the season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy of 2024-25.
