SA20 Season 4 Scheduled out: Defending champion will clash against Durban in the Mi Cape Town Opening Match; The final will be played on January 25

Mi Cape is the defending champion of the tournament.

The fourth season schedule of South Africa's franchise cricket tournament SA20 has been announced. Defending champion Mi Cape Town will face Durban Supergiants in the opening match on December 26. The match will be played at Newlands Stadium. The tournament final will be held on January 25. Places of Playoff Matches have not been announced.

The first double-headed opening match will be played the next day after The first double-header of the season will be played on Saturday, December 27th. The Pretoria Capitals and Joberg will clash in a special Derby match at the Super Kings Centurion, while Parl Royals and Sunrisers will clash in the second match at the Eastern Cape Boland Park.

Kagiso Rabada will also be playing from MI Cape Town this time.

Enthusiasm at Kingsmid before the new year The Durban Super Giants' Home Ground Kingsmid will make a comeback in the New Year's Week as it will host Mi Cape Town on December 28 and Joberg Super Kings on December 30.

New Year's Celebration and Double-Header Fans will have the opportunity to welcome the New Year on December 31, 2025, while Caberha and Cape Town will organize another exciting double-header. Two -time champion Sunrisers will host Parl Royals at Eastern Cape St. George Park, while Mi Cape Town and Pretoria Capitals will collide at Newlands at 9 pm.

The league stage match will be played by January 19, 2026.

Match on the first day of the new year On the first day of the new year, on January 1, 2026, the Joberg Super Kings and Durban Super Giants will want to start with the win in the Wanderers 2026. Both teams are waiting for their first title.

Finals and Playoff Places have not yet been determined The final of the tournament will be held on January 25, with Qualifier 1 (January 21), Eliminator (January 22) and Qualifier 2 (January 23). The final and playoff destinations will be announced later.

Franchise preparations Graeme Smith said the franchise was busy strengthening his team. The team will be finalized at the auction on September 9. “We are fully prepared to bring the best international and local players to our platform,” Smith said.
