So far only one Indian batsman has scored a century in day-night test

Team India won the first match against Australia in a strong manner and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Now the team’s eyes will be on winning the second match.

The second match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played at the Adelaide Oval cricket ground from December 6. The Indian team won the first Test by 295 runs under the captaincy of Jaspreet Bumrah and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Captain Rohit Sharma is ready to make a comeback in the second Test match. This will strengthen the batting of the Indian team. But the day-night test is not going to be easy for Team India at all, because India has lost only one day-night test and that too against Australia at the Adelaide ground. In such a situation, Team India will have to enter the field with a better strategy.

Kohli played a great innings 5 years ago

A day-night test match was held between India and Bangladesh at Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata in the year 2019, in which Virat Kohli played a strong innings of 136 runs. He is the only batsman to score a century in a day-night test for Team India. Apart from him, no other Indian batsman has been able to do so.

Ishant Sharma took 9 wickets in both the innings

Then the Indian team declared at 347 runs against Bangladesh. On the other hand, the batsmen of the Bangladesh team proved to be a big flop in the match and could not play big innings in the match. The Bangladesh team was reduced to 106 runs in the first innings and 195 runs in the second innings. Ishant Sharma bowled brilliantly for India in both the innings. He took a total of 9 wickets. He received the Player of the Match award for his brilliant performance.

India has won three day-night test matches

The Indian team has played a total of four day-night matches in the history of Test cricket, out of which it has won three and lost only one. India has won day-night Test matches against Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka. The Australian team is the team that has won the most day-night Test matches, having won a total of 11 matches so far.
