Sri Lanka beat World Champion Australia by 174 runs: 2 Clean sweeps in the ODI series; Kusal Mendis scored a century

Prior to the Champions Trophy, Sri Lanka beat world champion Australia by a big margin of 174 runs. This is the biggest ODI of the Kangaroo team against Sri Lanka in terms of runs. With this win, Sri Lanka sweeped 2-0 in the 2 ODI series to the kangaroos. The team won the first match by 49 runs.

On Friday, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose the bat and scored 281 for 4 in 50 overs. In reply, the Australian team was all out for 107 in 24.2 overs. Captain Steve Smith scored the highest 29. Dunith Vellaag took 4 wickets. Vanindu Hasranga and Asith Fernando took 3-3 wickets.

Kusal Mendis scored a century Kusal Mendis scored 101 off 115 balls from Sri Lanka. Nisar Madushka scored 51 off 70 balls and Charith Aslanaka scored an unbeaten 78 off 66 balls. Janith Liang contributed an unbeaten 32.

Australia lost wickets in the beginning When chasing a 282 -run target, the Australian team faced failure in the beginning. The team lost 3 wickets for 33 runs. Opener Matthew Short 2, Jack Fraser-Magark 9 and Travis Head 18 were dismissed. All three were dismissed by Asita Fernande.

Steve Smith scored 29 and Josh English scored 22 runs to 79. Here, English was out and then the team was losing the wicket. The team lost the last 7 wickets for 29 runs. Australia could only score 107 runs in 24.2 overs.

Mad Sudkka-Mendis rescued from trouble Sri Lanka, who won the toss, lost the wicket of Pathum Nisanka for 15 runs. He was dismissed for 6 runs. He bowled by Aaron Hardy. From here, opener Nishan Madushka, along with Kusal Mendis, helped the team get out of the opening shocks. Madu Sukka was out for 51 runs. Adam Zampa was caught on the ball of Ben Dwarshis. Kamindu Mendis was also dismissed for 4 runs after Madu Sukka.

Sri Lanka crossed a 200-run partnership between Mendis-Antanka, Sri Lanka After losing the third wicket on 121 runs, Kusal Mendis shared a 94 -run stand with Charith Aslanka for the fourth wicket. The partnership crossed the team by 200 runs. Kusal Mendis was out on the score of 215 team. Here, Charith Aslanka made an unbeaten 66 -run partnership with Janith Lianag. The team scored 281 runs after losing 4 wickets. Ben Dwarshis, Aaron Hardy, Sean Abbott and Adam Zampa took 1-1 wickets from Australia.

In the first ODI against Australia, Charitra Aslanaka scored 127 off 126 balls.

Australia won the Test series 2-0 Prior to the ODI series, a two-match Test series was played between Sri Lanka and Australia. Australia won the series 2-0. The team won the first Test against Sri Lanka by one innings and 242 runs. However, in the second Test, they won by 9 wickets. The Australian team has won the Test series in Sri Lanka after 13 years. The first team was successful in 2011. After this, 2 series were played, one Sri Lanka won and the other was a draw.
