After about three weeks of controversy, the ECB and BCCI launched the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy on Thursday. With this, the Pataudi Trophy retired officially. The cricket boards of the two countries have decided to give a Pataudi medal in honor of the Pataudi family, which will be given to the winning captain of the series. Earlier, the unveiling was postponed after the Ahmedabad plane crash.
Speaking on the occasion, Better Better Sachin Tendulkar said: “I am happy that it has been decided to give a medal in his (Tiger Pataudi) honor.” There was a dispute over the Pataudi Trophy's retirement. In this case, Tendulkar took the initiative to keep the heritage of Pataudi alive.
This time the winner of the Indo-England Test series will be given a new trophy, named Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson. These are a new initiative in honor of both giants.
Sachin Tendulkar said-
Upon learning of changing the trophy for the Test series between India and England, I spoke to the family of heavenly Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and assured him that the former captain's relationship with this series would never end.
He said-
Tiger Pataudi has played a major role in inspired by many generations, which cannot be forgotten. The Pataudi family will be affiliated with the series, as it has now been decided to give the winning captain a new 'Pataudi Excellence Medal'.
Tendulkar said-
I visited England for the first time in 1988. My first flight was from Mumbai to London. Now I am very happy that there is a trophy in my name.
Why was Tendulkar-Anderson named such a name? Sachin Tendulkar has the highest number of 200 Test matches and the highest number of 15,921 Test runs. James Anderson announced his retirement from Test cricket last year. Anderson is the second player to play 188 Test matches. He is the third highest bowler to take 704 wickets in the Test.

In 2007, at the end of 75 years, it was named Pataudi Trophy The Pataudi Trophy came into existence in 2007 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India's first Test in 1932. At the age of 21, Pataudi became the youngest Indian Test captain. His father Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi represented both England and India.
The first test will be played in leads on June 20 Five Test matches will be played between India and England. The first Test will start in lead from June 20. The last test will be played at Oval in London from July 31. India did not win the Test series in England since 2007. In such a case, the team will keep an eye on winning the series.
