The Asia Cup can be held from September 5 to 21: claim in media reports; Indo-Pakistan may collide twice, 6 teams will participate in the tournament

The Asia Cup may begin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 5. The tournament will be played on September 21. The first match between India and Pakistan will be played on September 7 in the Asia Cup under the Group Stage and Super-4 format. If both teams arrive in Super-4, their second match may be on September 14. The claim was made in the Times of India report.

Earlier, India was organizing the Asia Cup. According to media reports, UAE has been asked to organize a tournament due to tensions between India and Pakistan. 6 teams will participate in this 17 -day tournament.

The Asian Cricket Council has also announced the next 3 Asia Cup cycle. The tournament will be played in ODI format in Pakistan in 2027. Bangladesh will be organized in 2029 and Sri Lanka in 2031.

BCCI approved The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have almost approved the governments for playing the tournament. Official broadcaster of the tournament Sony Sports has also released a promotional poster.
