The attack on Pakistan will not affect the IPL: the final will be played in Kolkata on May 25, according to the schedule; Now 18 matches left

The Indian Army has taken a revenge for the Pahalgam terrorist attack by carrying out 'Operation Sindur'. The army targeted terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A source from the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) told the news agency Ani that the Indian Premier League (IPL) would not be affected by this and the tournament will continue as per Rabeta.

Today, the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Chennai Super Kings team will clash against each other at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The tournament is being played from March 22. 74 matches will be played this season. Of these, 56 matches have been played by Tuesday. There are now 18 matches, including the final. The final is to be held in Kolkata on May 25.

26 tourists died in the Pahalgam attack

On April 22, terrorists killed 26 tourists in the Baisar Valley near Pahalgam. There was also a Nepalese citizen. More than 10 people were injured. The attack took place at a time when a large number of tourists were present in the Besaran Valley.

IPL match is played out of the country four times

IPL has been running since 2007. So far it has been organized four times out of the country. This year is the 18th season of IPL.

  • 2009 – For the first time in 2009, all IPL matches were played in South Africa due to the Lok Sabha elections, as the government refused to provide sufficient security for the match.

The Deccan Chargers became the winner of the IPL played in South Africa in 2009.

  • 2014- Due to the Lok Sabha elections, the first phase of the IPL was held in the UAE from April 16 to 30. Then IPL was played in India from May 2.
  • 2020- Due to Corona, the IPL was not held in March and was organized in the UAE in September.

Mumbai Indians won the IPL title for the fifth time in 2020 in the UAE.

  • 2021- It was decided to hold IPL in four places in the country – Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai. The tournament also started on April 9. However, due to a corona infection among the players, the tournament had to be stopped and the remaining match of the tournament was played in the UAE in September-October.

In 2021, some IPL matches, including the final, were played in the UAE. Chennai Super Kings won the fourth time by beating Kolkata Knight Riders.
