Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced the construction of a new cricket stadium near Bengaluru. 80 thousand viewers will be able to sit at a time at this stadium. In terms of capability of viewers, this will be the second largest cricket stadium in the country after Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
CM Siddaramaiah has approved a proposal to construct a stadium at Surya City, Bommasandra of Karnataka Housing Board. It will be made at a cost of Rs 1650 crore.
The new stadium is 22 km from the existing M Chinnaswamy stadium. It was decided to make it after the run -up during the Victory Celebrity of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Stadium will be made on 100 acres The entire cost of this project worth Rs 1,650 crore will be raised by the Karnataka Housing Board. The stadium may be like BCCI's new National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
