The highest run chase in WPL: RCB targeted 202 runs in 18.3 overs, Richa's explosive innings; Gujarat Giants beat

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) started a wonderful start in the Woman's Premier League (WPL) Season 3 on Friday. The team chased the target of 202 against the Gujarat giants in the opening match in 18.3 overs. Alice Perry and Richa Ghosh won the team by 6 wickets to score half a century.

RCB has set the highest run chase record in WPL. Earlier, Mumbai chase a 191 -run target against Gujarat in 2024.

In the opening match of this season, Gujarat captain Ashley Gardner scored 79 off just 37 balls. Wicketkeeper Beth Mooni also scored a fifty.

Ashley also took 2 wickets in bowling, but Richa Ghosh ensured the RCB's win by scoring 23 runs in one over. Richa received the Player of the Match award.

GJ-Gardner hit 8 sixes After deciding to bat first after losing the toss, Beth Mooni and Laura Volward of the Gujarat Giants shared a 35 -run stand. Volward was dismissed for 6 runs. After that, Dayalan Hemlatha was able to score only 4 runs. Mooney was standing on one end and he scored half a century with Captain Gardner. Mooni scored a fifty, she was dismissed for 56 runs.

After losing 3 wickets for 85 runs, Ashley Gardner took over the innings with Dendra Dotin. The two shared 67 runs. Dotin scored 25 runs with 3 fours and 1 six. After that, Simran Sheikh scored 11 runs with 1 fours and 1 six. Gardener scored 79 off just 37 balls.

The team scored 201 after losing 5 wickets. Renuka Thakur took 2 wickets from Bengaluru. Kanika Ahuja, Georgia Wareham and Inspiration Rawat took 1-1 wickets.

RCB – won the bad start despite The start of the RCB was very bad when chasing the target of 202 runs. The team lost the wicket of opener Smriti Mandhana and Danny Wyatt in the second over. Both of them sent a Gardner pavilion. Mandhana scored 9 and Bayot scored 4 runs.

Alice Perry then took over the innings with Raghavi Bisht. Raghavi was dismissed for 25 off 27 balls, sharing 86 runs with Perry. Perry was also dismissed for 57 runs. His innings consisted of 6 fours and two sixes.

Alice Perry scored 57 off 34 balls.

Richa hit 4 sixes off 23 balls, hit Fifty After losing 4 wickets for 109 runs, Richa Ghosh took over the RCB. After being stable in the beginning, he began to attack from the 14th over. Tanuja Kanwar scored 10 runs in this over. Sayali Satghare scored 15 runs in the next over.

Bengaluru needed 63 off 30 balls. Gardner came here to bowl, but Richa also took her arms and scored 23 runs in the over. Richa scored a Fifty in just 23 balls and gave the team a victory by scoring a six on the third ball of the 19th over.

Richa remained a knockout after scoring 64 off 27 balls. He hit 7 fours and four sixes in the innings. Kanika Ahuja scored 30 off 13 balls, including four fours in her innings. The two shared a 93 -run stand for the fifth wicket. Diandra Dotin and Sayali Satghare also got 1-1 wickets from Gujarat.
