The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on Saturday, March 22. The opening and final match will be played at the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Home Ground Eden Gardens. In the first match, KKR will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

According to the Creekbz report, the complete IPL schedule can be announced in 1 or 2 days. The franchise team has been informed about important matches. Kolkata won the title by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2024 final. This time 2 playoffs will be played in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad will also start with the Home Ground Hyderabad, the 17th season runner-up Sunrisers, will also launch his campaign with his home ground Uppal. He will clash against the Rajasthan Royals on March 23, the match will start at 3.30 pm by Indian time. Both teams also had a Qualifier-2 of last season. Hyderabad entered the final after winning the match.

The first match of Sunrisers Hyderabad will be against the Rajasthan Royals.

Finals in Kolkata on May 25 In the IPL, the opening and final match is played on the home ground of the defending champion team. This time both important matches will be held at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The final will be played on May 25. Qualifier-2 will also be held in Kolkata. Qualifier-1 and Eliminator will be played at Hyderabad, the home ground of the previous runner-up SRH.

RCB will enter the leadership of the new captain On Thursday, the RCB announced its new captain. Madhya Pradesh's silver Patidar will lead the team in the 18th season. KKR will also play the tournament with the new captain. Earlier captain Shreyas Iyer will play for Punjab Kings this season, so KKR will have to choose a new captain.

The rest of the 10 teams are Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The rest of the season's match will be played here. A total of 74 matches will be played between 10 teams in the tournament.
