The Karnataka government has blamed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) for the Bangalore Department.
The Karnataka government said during a hearing in the High Court on Wednesday that no permission was taken for the program and the organizers invited the “whole world” to attend the program via social media.
The High Court is hearing a petition challenging the legality of the arrest of RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale and four others. Sosale has described his arrest as illegal.
Sosselle argued in the court on June 10 that police officers were only suspended and were not arrested. Why did he only do this with me?
On June 4, 11 people were killed in a rally during the RCB's Victory Parade outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 33 people were injured. 3 to 4 lakh cricketers came here to see the players, which were much higher than the stadium capacity.
On June 6, four officers of the RCB's marketing head and event management company were arrested in the Nasgaluru case in Bengaluru.
The Karnataka government said: On June 3, the last minute information of the victory parade was given
Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty, who was present on behalf of the state government, told the court that the RCB won the match against Punjab on May 29. The team already knew that they had reached the final. However, he did not get any permission for the Victory Parade or celebration at the stadium.
The Advocate General said, 'On June 3, an hour before the match started, the RCB gave us a letter, stating that they would hold a Victory Parade. They were not seeking permission, but were just informing us about their plans. '
What happened at the last hearing …
June 10: Two cases heard
First case- Karnataka government will respond to the court in a sealed envelope
- At a hearing on Tuesday in the Bengaluru Naspan case, the court allowed the Karnataka government to file a reply in a sealed envelope.
- Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty, who was present on behalf of the government, said that a judicial commission has been set up to investigate the entire matter.
- They will submit their report within a month. In such a situation we cannot reply in the open court. The next hearing will take place on June 12.
Second case: Application related to arrest of marketing head Nikhil Sosselle
- Nikhil asked that if the crime was such that it has a provision of more than 7 years, you have the right to arrest. I'm a marketing head of RCB, what is the reason for my arrest?
- On this, the High Court asked if the marketing head is named in the FIR. On this, Chauta said- No, his name is not in the FIR, it has only the names of the organizations.
- Chauta said the role of any accused has not been announced. Political advisers were removed, but no one was arrested. Police officers have also been suspended not only, they have not been arrested. Why was this done only with me?
June 9: Question in the petition- Did the police have the right to arrest?
- Sosle's lawyer Misha Chota questioned the court whether police officers have the right to arrest Sosselle. Nikhil was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB), not by the police investigating the case.
- Chauta alleged that the arrest was made not for any investigation, but for the Chief Minister issued instructions. Referring to DK Basu's decision, Chauta said that no one could be taken without informing anyone. The victim's rights have been violated.
- He said that the Karnataka government itself told the court on June 5 that the investigation has been handed over to the CID, which raised suspicion of CCB's jurisdiction. When the case was handed over to the CID, how did the CCB come to the picture?
Government opinion- did not sit at the restaurant, at the airport
- When Justice Krishna asked if the Chief Minister had openly said that the arrest would be made, the Advocate General said he would have to check the record.
- Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty, who was present from the government, said that the officials were just doing their job. It's not like Nikhil was having lunch at a restaurant. He was going to the airport at 5am, what should he do?
- AG said- Sossell's remand was already done, so there was no need for interim relief. Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty sought time to respond to arguments.

Marketing Head lawyer said- CCB arrested on CM's order
RCB Marketing and Revenue Head Nikhil Sosale's lawyer told the High Court that Nikhil had been arrested as CM Siddaramaiah ordered the Central Crime Branch (CCB) to be arrested. The court was hearing a petition challenging Nikhil Sosale's arrest on June 6.
The lawyer told the court that Nikhil Sosal lives in Ashoknagar police station area. Chinnaswamy Stadium arrives in the Kabban Park Police Station area, but Nikhil was arrested by the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru. This was not part of the investigation, as the Chief Minister said that the CCB had arrested him, though the CCB did not investigate the case.
KSCA said- The responsibility of handling the crowd was an event management company
The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered the arrest of officers after filing an FIR against KSCA, RCB and DNA Entertainment Network. Karnataka State Cricket Association President Raghuram Bhat, Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jayaram demanded the cancellation of the FIR against him in the Nasabha case.
The Karnataka High Court on June 16 relieved KSCA officials from arresting the next hearing. The KSCA had earlier said in its petition in the High Court that it was the responsibility of RCB and event management company to manage the crowd at the gate outside Chinnaswamy Stadium.
