The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a schedule of women's ODI World Cup 2025. Accordingly, teams from India and Pakistan will clash against each other on October 5. The match will be played at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. The tournament will begin on September 30, 2025.
Although India has been given host rights to the tournament, it is difficult for the Pakistani team to come to India, due to the Operation Sindur launched by India after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In this case, it has been decided to hold the match in Colombo.
Prior to the Champions Trophy, the BCCI and PCB agreed to play in a neutral place before the ICC. India is going to host the Women's World Cup for the first time after 12 years. India last got the Women's World Cup in 2013.
28 league matches will be played in 5 places In this tournament, 28 league matches and three knockout matches will be played in five places at Bengaluru, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Colombo.
The first semifinal will be played in Guwahati or Colombo on October 29 (depending on the arrival of Pakistan) and the second semifinal will be played in Bengaluru on October 30. The final will be played in Bengaluru or Colombo on November 2.
