TNPL: Ashwin fined 30% of match fees: Women umpire argues lbw out, throwing gloves in anger heading to pavilion

Former India all -rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined for violating the code of conduct during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) match. Ashwin was convicted of disagreement with umpires' decisions and abusing equipment.

After the end of IPL 2025, Ashwin is now leading the Dindigul Dragon in TNPL 2025. During a match played against Tirupur Tamizans on Monday, he had a quarrel with the female umpire. After this, he has been fined 30% of the match fee. A fine of 10 per cent has been imposed for disagreement with the umpires' decision and 20 per cent for the misuse of equipment.

Argued with the umpire Tirupur Tamizans' R Sai Kishore made Ashwin LBW on the last ball of the fifth over. After this he had a quarrel with the umpire Kritika. Sai Kishore threw the ball on the pad, he tried to play the shot, who missed. It seemed that the ball was going out of the leg stump, but the umpire raised his finger, causing Ashwin to look very angry.

Ashwin could not take the review because Didigul had already used his review. Ashwin then went to the umpire and said a few words. He continued to ask for clarification from the umpires, but the umpire did not say anything.

Gloves also thrown into the air Ashwin then left the field in anger. On his return to the pavilion, he hit the pad with his bat and threw his gloves in the air a short distance away from the dugout. Not only that, Ashwin kept shouting at the umpires from the dugout.

Tirupur wins Tamizans Dindigul was all out for 93 in 16.2 overs. Tirupur Tamizans, a target of 94 runs, lose 1 wicket in 11.5 overs.
