The WCL said in its statement that it decided to hold a match between Indian Legends and Pakistan Legends only after a recent volleyball match between India and Pakistan, but this hurt many people's feelings and Indian Legends were also uncomfortable to play against Pakistan. Because of this, it was decided to cancel the match.

The company said that despite a five -year sponsorship agreement with WCL two years ago, they would not join any match related to Pakistan. Easemytrip said they support the Indian champion, but would not support or promote any match related to Pakistan. The company wrote on X, 'Our attitude has always been clear. We stand with the Indian champion, but will not participate in any match associated with Pakistan. Before India, always. '
The World Championship of Legends begins on July 18 The World Championship of Legends will be held in Birmingham, Northhomton, Leicester and leads from July 18 to August 2. The tournament is being organized with the approval of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
