Women's T20 World Cup schedule was announced a year ago: the tournament will begin on June 12; India's first match will be against Pakistan

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 a year ago. According to a schedule announced on Wednesday, the Indian team will launch its campaign against Pakistan at Edgbaston on June 14.

The starting match of the tournament will be played on the ground between host England and Sri Lanka on June 12. The final match of the tournament will be played on July 5. 12 teams will participate in the tournament and a total of 33 matches will be played.

New Zealand won the last T20 World Cup title by beating South Africa by 32 runs.

12 teams were divided into two groups, India was kept in Group-A The 12 teams participating in the T20 World Cup are divided into two groups. Group-A has India, Pakistan, Australia and South Africa. Group B has England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies. The remaining two teams from both groups will come from the global qualifier.

The final will be played at Lords on July 5 The top 2 teams from each group will reach the semifinals. The two semifinal matches will be played at Oval on June 30 and July 2 and the final match will be played at Lords on July 5. The 24 -day tournament will be played on 7 grounds. These include Egbaston, Hampshire Bowl, Headingley, Old Trafford, The Oval, Bristol County Ground and Lords.
