WPL: Bengaluru beat Mumbai by 11: Smriti Mandhana's Fifty, Sneha Rana took 3 wickets; Seaver Brunt scored 69 runs

In the 20th match of the Woman's Premier League, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Mumbai Indians by 11 runs. Bangalore batted first at Brabourne Stadium. Captain Smriti Mandhana played 53 runs.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai Indians were chasing the target of 200 runs and could only score 199 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Natalie Sewer Brunt scored the highest 69. All -rounder Sneha Rana took 3 wickets from Bengaluru. It was also declared Player of the Match. Despite this defeat, Mumbai is still in the title race. While the defending champion RCB wins, the tournament has been dropped.

Mumbai captain Harmanpreet won the toss and decided to field first.

Mandhana Fifty, RCB scored 70 runs in the last 5 overs Bangalore's team scored 199 for 3 for 3 wickets. Captain Smriti Mandhana scored the highest 53 from the team. He also hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his 37 -ball innings. Alice Perry played an unbeaten 49 off 38 balls. Richa Ghosh scored 36 off 22 balls. Georgia Wareham was unbeaten on 31 off 10 balls. Opener Sabne's Meghna scored 26 off 13 balls. Haley Mathews took 2 wickets and Amelia Care 1 wicket from Mumbai Indians. RCB added 70 runs in the last 5 overs.

Smriti Mandhana hit 6 fours and three sixes in 53 runs.

Sever Brunt received no support Chasing the target, Seaver Brunt played a wonderful innings of 69 for the Mumbai Indians but did not get any support from the other end. In the final overs, Sanjivan Sanjana (23 runs), captain Harmanpreet Kaur (20 runs), Haley Mathews (19 runs) and Amanjot Kaur (17 runs) started well but could not extend their innings. Sneha Rana took the highest 3 wickets. Kim Garth and Alice Perry took 2-2 wickets.

Seaver Brunt hit 9 fours and two sixes in his innings.

Mumbai Eliminator will play match If the Mumbai Indians had won the match, they could have entered the finals directly, but due to defeat, the team was second in the point table. In such a case, Delhi Capitals have taken first place in the points table and made it to the final.

The second finalist team will decide in an eliminator match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants. The match will be played on March 13. The eliminator match -winning team will clash against Delhi Capitals in the final on March 15.
