WPL: Fifth victory of Mumbai Indians: Gujarat Giants defeated 9 runs, Harmanpreet Kaur's fifty; 3-3 wickets of Matthews-Amalia

Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants by 9 runs in Season 3 of the Woman's Premier League (WPL). Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played 54 runs. While Haley Mathews and Amelia Care took 3-3 wickets.

Gujarat Giants won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, the Mumbai Indians lost 179 for 6, losing 6 wickets.

Mumbai started bad, the first wicket fell at 17 runs Mumbai did not have a good start. The first wicket fell at 17 runs. Harmanpreet Kaur then shared 33 off 19 balls for the fourth wicket with Amanjot Kaur. Harmanpreet played 54 off 33 balls with nine fours. In addition, Yastika Bhatia scored 13 runs from Mumbai, while Sajjan Sajja was unbeaten on 11.

Gujarat Giants lost 6 wickets for 92 runs Gujarat's batting was not good to chase the target of 180 runs and lost 6 wickets in 92 runs. Fulmali then batted aggressively and shared 50 off 23 balls with Simran Sheikh for the seventh wicket. Meanwhile, Phulmali finished half a century off 22 balls. However, Amelia Care brought Mumbai back to the match with a wicket.

No batter could play big innings other than Fulmali, which led to Gujarat defeat.

Bharti Phulmali scored 61 off 25 balls.

In addition to Fulmali, Harlin Deol from Gujarat scored 24 runs, while Phoby Lichfield scored 22, Simran Sheikh 18, Kashvi Gautam 10, Diandra Dotin 10 and Priya Mishra scored 1 run. Matthews and Care took three wickets from Mumbai. Shabnam Ismail took two wickets and culture Gupta took one wicket.
